SILEO 2nd Open Call for Advanced Technology Uptake Projects

SILEO Call for Advanced Technology Uptake Projects aims to leverage the latest innovations, advanced technologies, ideas, and insights to support lighting and furniture SMEs in developing strategic products and services, improving their existing processes and methodologies, and uncovering new growth opportunities, from the digital and circular viewpoint. 

However, before diving in headfirst, SMEs must test the technology out on a small scale to determine its level of success and growth potential. SILEO Consortium offers this chance through financial support (lump sum) for prototyping and/or pilot applications.

Within the SILEO Call for Advanced Technology Uptake Projects, lighting and furniture SMEs can effectively integrate the selected advanced technologies or digital/circular solutions into their business through the following activities:

A) PROTOTYPING OF NEW PRODUCTS OR SERVICES

B) PILOT APPLICATION

C) PROTOTYPING + PILOT APPLICATION

Under this SILEO 2nd Call, the SILEO Consortium will select up to 25 projects (= 25 beneficiary SMEs). Awarded SMEs will have from 3 to 6 months to implement expert consultancy selected and receive up to 10.500 EUR per 1 Advanced Technology Uptake Project (project budget).

A single SME from the lighting/furniture industry

Advanced Tech Uptake Project duration

Min. 3 months – max. 6 months.

Signing of the SILEO Sub-Grant Agreement

The SILEO SGA between the SME beneficiary and the SILEO Consortium will be signed in December 2024/January 2025.

Expected starting date of the project

The projects should start in December 2024.

Please note that projects with a duration of 6 months must start by 10 January 2025, at the latest.

The other projects must start by 31 January 2025 at the latest.

In any case, all projects awarded under this Open Call must be completed by 30 June 2025.

 

SILEO POOL OF TECHNOLOGY UPTAKE FACILITATORS

To implement the advanced technology uptake project, an SME applicant must select a technology provider (one or more) from the official list of experts, the SILEO Pool of Technology Uptake Facilitators.

The Pool of Technology Uptake Facilitators is a list, published on the SILEO submission platform that includes all the organisations who have expressed their interest and willingness to support SMEs in their digital & green transition pathway and answered the specific 3° Call for Expression of Interest launched by SILEO Consortium partners, and open until 11.10.2024 at 16:00 CEST (https://elcacluster.eu/our-projects/sileo/#ExpressionOfInterest).

An SME Applicant can select an organisation included in the existing list of validated experts OR propose its own technology provider(s) by submitting the application form for the technology providers available in the Call for Expression of Interest.

    The Advanced Technology Uptake Projects aspire to empower European SMEs operating in the lighting and furniture sectors to investigate the possibilities of incorporating digitalization processes, adopting sustainable practices, and implementing advanced technologies to facilitate their transition towards environmentally-friendly and digital practices.

  • SMEs operating in the lighting and furniture industry and located in the EU Member States or countries associated with the Single Market Programme (Further eligibility criteria are available in section 3 of the Guide for Applicants).

     Financial support

    The maximum financial support per project/SME is up to 10.500 EUR in the form of a lump sum.
