RESIST: Training Open Call

This call provides financial support to European SMEs, start-ups and very-small businesses (VSBs) working in the Mobility, Transport and Automotive (MTA) ecosystem, so they can participate in training activities.

The financial support will be up to €750 per SME with a total available budget of €15,000.

RESIST will provide financial support to European small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), start-ups and very-small businesses (VSBs) for training activities organised in the EU and non-EU third countries. Applicants can apply to be funded under the training FSTP call.

The open call is part of the RESIST project, which stands for “REsilience through Sustainable processes and production for the European automotive InduSTry”. This initiative aims to support Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the Mobility, Transport, and Automotive ecosystem, helping them adapt to extreme crisis situations and ongoing transformation processes. The project offers various funding schemes and support services to assist SMEs in making their processes and production more sustainable and flexible through green engineering and digitalization, while also exploring alternative markets. The RESIST project is co-financed by the Single Market Programme (SMP COSME) through the “Joint Cluster Initiatives (EUROCLUSTERS) for Europe’s recovery” call of the European Commission.

  • The RESIST Eurocluster will provide financial support, also known as Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP), to European small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) working in the Mobility, Transport and Automotive ecosystem, so they can participate in training activities. The total amount of financial support for approximately 40 SMEs, start-ups and VSB in this call is up to 15 000 EUR.

    Why should you engage your workforce in reskilling or upskilling activities?

    • To raise awareness about the relevance of twin transition, so your employees can know the linked benefits, opportunities and needs.
    • To ensure the best use of new solutions applied both in the product design stage and at the operational level.
    • To be aligned with the EU objectives included in the EU Green Deal, the SME Strategy for a sustainable and Digital Europe, the EU Circular Economy Action Plan, and other strategies.
  • The beneficiaries of this Open Call are European SMEs, start-ups and/or mid-cap companies from the Automotive-Transport-Mobility ecosystem.

    Eligible Activities

    The open call provides financial support to European SMEs, start-ups, and very-small businesses (VSBs) for training services. Applicants can apply for funding under the Training Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP) call. The eligible activities under this call include:

    • FSTP for online training: Applicants can receive a maximum of €250 for participating in online training.
    • FSTP for physical training: Applicants can receive a maximum of €750 for participating in physical training sessions.

    The training FSTP can be used to finance participation in training sessions, regardless of their location, and the costs related to travel and accommodation will not be reimbursed under this program. The expected impact of these training activities is to contribute to the industrial green and digital transition, raise awareness of the benefits, opportunities, and needs linked to these transitions, and ensure the workforce is skilled to make the best use of new solutions.

    Cut-off dates:

    1. 8th of December 2023
    2. 16th of February 2024
    3. 12th of April 2024
    4. 7th of June 2024
    5. 30th of Agust 2024
    6. 30th of November 2024

    This means that if an applicant submits their application after the cut-off date, their application will be evaluated for the second cut-off date. Maximum number of awarded proposals per cut-off: up to 8 applications maximum will be selected after each cut-off.
